🎶From Battles to Breakthroughs: The Joy of Daily Practice 🎶
Cultivating attention, quality, and growth in every step of the journey
Daily practice can sometimes feel like a struggle — but it also holds the key to long-term joy and growth. In this conversation, we explored how to shift the focus from conflict to connection, creating an environment where learning truly blooms.
We were joined by two inspiring Suzuki educators, Michelle Post (Switzerland, piano) and Christophe Bossuat (France, violin), who shared their wisdom, stories, and practical advice with parents and teachers from around the world.
🌟 Highlights from the session
-
Quality over quantity — short, regular practice sessions bring more joy and focus than long, draining ones.
-
Parents as partners — encouragement, patience, and calmness matter as much as technical skill.
-
The voice of teens — Michele’s son reminded us that knowing when to stop (and when to praise) makes all the difference.
-
Mistakes as opportunities — Christophe encouraged us to guide children through questions, not corrections.
-
Balance matters — joy in practice grows when families protect time and space, even if it means doing less.
This event was part of the Empowering Parents series: a space for Suzuki families to reflect, connect, and grow together.
